Awareness Program against Tobacco
Awareness Program against Tobacco
Vikas Path Sewa Sansthan, founded in 2005 and inspired by Gandhian thinker Dr. S.N. Subbrao ji, pioneers national integration, communal harmony, and youth leadership. Registered under the Society Act 1860, it addresses Chitrakoot district's challenges, focusing on underprivileged, Dalit, and economically weaker sections. Through need-based programs and public cooperation, the institute fosters holistic development and societal inclusion. Its mission is to establish a just, socioeconomically, and politically aware society by enhancing skills and knowledge for sustainable livelihoods. Dedicated volunteers and supporters drive this non-political, non-profit endeavor.
An integrated approach to build a equitable and empowered society
OUR VISION
Dedicated to the vision of fostering an equitable and socially harmonious society, where every individual is afforded equal opportunities and where social cohesion thrives.
OUR MISSION
Organizing and empowering the most deprived section of society through awareness programs, skill development sessions, etc.
Through our tailoring training, we've empowered over 375 women and girls, enabling them to save 3 to 5 thousand rupees monthly while working from home. We've also conducted impactful awareness sessions on the Domestic Violence Act 2005, and our institute actively celebrates and honors women through various events, fostering a culture of empowerment and respect.
Our comprehensive education and training initiatives focus on bridging the educational gap for village children. Through engaging methods such as rallies, chaupals, and meetings, we successfully connect children from villages to schools. Remarkably, our efforts have facilitated regular School Management Committee (SMC) meetings in numerous schools. In Manikpur block, over a hundred children, once dropouts, from Chandramara, Kharond, Barahmafi, and Gadakhan villages, have been reintegrated into the education system, resulting in improved daily attendance and an increased percentage of overall school participation.
As many as 105 people have been stopped smoking cigarettes, bidis, alcohol and tobacco under the de-addiction program. The institute president started the process of stopping cigarette smoking and got success from his home. After this, many teachers and friends were stopped. At the same time, the same friends also financially supported the institute for the drug de-addiction program.
